I purchased this game resently and let me just say... IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! But I will warn you, you may shed a few tears, I know I did. In "Cursed Sight" you "see" through the eyes of a young boy that was sold by his parents as a slave to a Tarian temple. He soon meets a young girl that has the "cursed sight" and he has a variety of emotions throughout this visual novel, and as will you. See ya!. So I couldn't sleep and so I decided to sit down and fully enjoy and read this Visual Novel after a little while from purchase. I do not regret buying this at all, I absolutley loved this story, the build up was great and I will admit, I cried for at least the last 2 hours I read this novel.-Spoiler-I will admit it did make me a little sad that it felt like there was no true happy ending, but I loved the game nonetheless. If you havent read this I highly recommend that you do. I would even purchase this for a friend if he wanted to read this, to the creators that made this beautiful piece of art, thank you for the great story.. Ignore my previous review, the issue i had about the game has been fixed and the game runs well now.. Pros: Art and music are very appealing. For an indie game this is top quality graphics and gameplay ~but~ and this is a big one for me. Cons: For a visual novel the writing, grammar and word choice are all terrible. The story reads like it was written by someone with a very poor grasp of written english and idiom. Possibly a non-native speaker or an elementary school student. It's a pity the developer didn't manage to get someone who can actually write to do the story. I'll probably play through the entire game because I hate leaving things unfinished but I regret the purchase.. Playing through the whole thing, the game isn't bad. The latter half is decent, and I really had no major qualms about it. The problem though was that the writing was so hard to get through in the beginning.I get Gai is like some kind of 8 year old at the beginning of the game, but he's not someone you can really get into. He's kind of a toad. He turns out to be kind of a decent guy at the end of it, but he's still... also kind of a toad?But really, if you stick it out to the latter end, I think the story is good. Lot of little nitpicks I could say on the art, the writing, but hey. I played through it over the course of a day and ruminated over it. I want to say I enjoyed it at the end.. the main character that you go through the story as is insufferable. He ruined this book for me.. A short, but good visual novel.The story is kinda rushed since it's so short, but thanks to the good, funny, and slightly graphic writing - the game is definitely worth checking out.
